There are many exciting career opportunities at Moreton Hall Veterinary Centre (MHVC) in a variety of disciplines relating to animal care. If you are keen to know more or are interested in applying for a position, please click below.
Veterinary Surgeons
MHVC is an expanding veterinary practice; as such we are always interested to hear from any vets who are keen to learn more about a career with MHVC.
Nurses
At MHVC, nurses regularly work with a variety of animals including dogs, cats, rabbits and birds as well as horses, farm animals and more exotic species such as lizards. Nurses also include carry out lab work and prepare animals for operations, and assist during operations. Animal nurses take responsibility for feeding, watering, cleaning quarters and exercising animals in the practice’s care. MHVC is an authorised nurse training centre.
Pet Care Advisors and Receptionists
Either working on reception of the veterinary centre or in the pet shop Pets Place, this role involves advising clients on everyday aspects of looking after pets. It’s a fun, customer-facing role, which suits out-going people who love animals and are interested to learn about caring for them.
Groomers
Grooming involves caring for all aspects of coat and skin care and appearance. Groomers are responsible for brushing, combing, bathing, shampooing, drying, clipping, ‘stripping’ and trimming the pets. MHVC is groom training centre. For people interested in this hands on career, MHVC provides the necessary guidance and experience for trainees.
General Vacancies
As well as the veterinary and pet care work, there are a number of "behind the scenes’ administrative and organisational roles that ensure the practice operates smoothly. While these varied positions do not offer direct hands-on animal experience, being located in a veterinary practice means pets are always close at hand!
